HIPAA IT for Las Vegas
Medical Practices

Your practice network, workstations, backups, and logins set up so patient charts stay private and the office stays open.

Book a HIPAA IT review

HIPAA, in terms of your office

The HIPAA Security Rule asks a practice to protect electronic patient information: who can open it, where it is stored, how it travels, and whether you can get it back. For most practices that comes down to a few things in the office: the network, the workstations, the logins, email, remote access, and backup.

We run those pieces for medical practices in the Las Vegas Valley. When the network or a workstation fails, your providers are not charting and the schedule backs up. That is why we treat security and uptime as one job, not two.

We start with a written review of the office. You keep the write-up whether or not you hire us.

What we put in place

Practical controls around your charts and your practice network.

Unique logins and MFA

Every person gets their own login to workstations, email, and remote access, with multi-factor authentication. No shared front-desk passwords.

Workstation lockdown

Disk encryption, automatic screen lock in exam rooms, patching, and endpoint protection on every machine that can reach a chart.

A segmented practice network

Clinical workstations, guest wifi, phones, and imaging devices kept on separate network segments, behind a managed firewall.

Backups we test

Backups of the servers and files the practice cannot lose, kept off-site, with restore tests so you know Friday's data comes back.

Secure remote access

Providers who chart from home get access tied to their own login, and we shut it off the day someone leaves.

Risk analysis support

We document the technical safeguards for your security risk analysis and give you a list of what to fix, in priority order.

Business Associate Agreements

When our work lets us see or store patient information, we sign a Business Associate Agreement. We also go through your vendor list with you, so you know which other vendors that touch patient data still need one.

On-site in the Las Vegas Valley
